(Fire Rite)
28 Birželio 2025, Šeštadienis — 18:30
Saturday, June 28 2025 — 6:30 pm
After Dainų Šventė rehearsal, you are invited to join Seniūnė Jūratė Rzeznik in celebrating the rite of fire with traditional sacred songs, blessings, and sharing of bread and drink.
If you wish, you may bring flowers or herbs to help decorate the alka (fire pit). The rite is expected to last approximately 45 minutes. Many of the songs are call-and-answer, but hand-outs will be available with words and translations. Hopefully you will be inspired to sing along!

** the bread has gluten and the drink will be alcoholic, so if you are sensitive to these, please be aware.
Romuva is a modern expression of our ancient Lithuanian pre-Christian spirituality. Lietuvos Romuva was founded in the 1988 (although the folklore group – “Ramuva” – that would evolve into Romuva was founded in 1969), and Šiaurės Amerikos Romuva (Romuva North America) was founded in 1992.
